Lachnellula fuscosanguinea
Persoonia 2(2): 184. 1962.
Common Name: none
For description see Seaver (as Lachnella fuscosanguinea) & 'California Mushrooms'.
Gregarious to clustered on the bark of dead conifer branches (pine); uncommon, fruiting in spring in the Sierra Nevada.
Unknown.
Lachnellula fuscosanguinea can be distinguished from other species in the genus by its growth on dead pine branches, paler brown external hairs, and relatively large spores. It is most likely confused with Lachnellula arida, but the latter grows on fir branches and has dark brown external hairs and smaller spores.
