Solitary to scattered in soil under hemlock and spruce; common, fruiting from fall through mid-winter in northern coastal conifer forests.
Unknown.
Ramaria conjunctipes var. tsugensis can be distinguished by its salmon-colored branches with yellow tips and fasciculate fruitbodies with numerous slender stipes fused at the base. Occasionally the branch tips of Ramaria conjunctipes var. tsugensis can be greenish. It is found commonly under hemlock (Tsuga heterophylla) and Sitka spruce (Picea sitchensis) in Humboldt and Del Norte counties but occurs as far south as Mendocino County.
